The usual way to move an iPhone's location is Apple's developer tunnel. It works fine — but iOS marks every fix that comes out of it as software-simulated, and recent Pokémon GO builds reject fixes carrying that mark. Nothing you can reinstall or re-pair changes it, which is why the same error follows people from tool to tool.
Wander has a second, separate engine on iPhone. Rather than injecting a location, it changes what Apple's Wi-Fi positioning service reports about the networks around you, and lets iOS work out the fix by itself the ordinary way. A fix iOS calculated isn't marked as simulated — so the game accepts it. It's a whole-app switch, not a per-game one: while anti-cheat mode is on, every teleport in Wander goes through this engine, and you run the proxy app's VPN instead of LocalDevVPN (iOS allows only one at a time). Turn it back off for everything else.
