The plain-English rules for using Wander. Using the app or an account means you're okay with these.
Effective date: 16 July 2026
These Terms cover the Wander apps (iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows) and the Wander website and account system, built and operated by the Wander team. By downloading, installing, or using Wander, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Wander. This isn't legal advice — it's a straightforward statement of how we expect Wander to be used.
Wander is a GPS location changer. It changes the location your device reports to apps, on the device itself. It doesn't move you, and it doesn't upload your real location — see the Privacy Policy for the details of what data is and isn't handled.
Wander is offered for personal use and for testing/development — for example, testing location-based features you're building, protecting your privacy, or playing around with where your device thinks it is. It isn't sold or licensed for fraud, harassment, evading law enforcement, faking your whereabouts to deceive people who rely on them, or anything illegal. Use good judgment.
This is the important one. Many apps and services have their own rules about altering your device's reported location. You are solely responsible for reading and complying with the terms of any third-party app or service you use Wander alongside. If an app forbids location changing, using Wander with it may violate that app's terms and could get your account there limited or banned. That's between you and them — we can't and don't take responsibility for it, and we don't encourage breaking anyone's rules.
Wander is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with Niantic, Pokémon GO, Life360, Apple, Google, or any other company, app, or service you might use it alongside. All product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used, if at all, only to describe compatibility.
You may need an account to use some features. Keep your login details secure — you're responsible for activity under your account. Pro unlocks additional features and is available as a one-time "lifetime" purchase or as a subscription, sold through Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. "Lifetime" means for the lifetime of the product and the account, not a legally guaranteed forever. Billing, cancellation, and refunds are covered in the Refund Policy. We may adjust Pro features and pricing over time; changes won't retroactively charge you for something you already bought.

The Wander iOS and desktop apps are open-source under the MIT License, so you're free to read, build, and modify that code under the MIT terms. However, the Wander name, logo, and brand are not open-source and remain ours. The MIT license on the code does not grant you any right to use the Wander branding, to imply affiliation, or to distribute your fork as "Wander." Any server-side components, hosted services, and other apps may be licensed separately.
Wander is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that Wander will work with any particular app or device, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular result. Location changing is fiddly and platform behavior shifts; sometimes things break.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Wander and its maker will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, accounts, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Wander — including consequences from third-party apps or services (such as bans or restrictions). To the extent any liability is found, it is limited to the amount you actually paid us for Wander in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
We may update these Terms as Wander evolves. When we do, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the site or Discord where practical. Continuing to use Wander after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the maker's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be handled in the courts with jurisdiction there. Nothing here takes away consumer rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your own country.
